The gun Support. So why did we choose to put this on our site to compete with our excellent Stock Aid?? well we consider this not to be a competetive product for many reasons all of which make our Stock Aid a far better product. This gun support sits far to low and to get the gun into your shoulder quickly takes a double movement.... too slow especially if out on a walk up / rough shoot also with a 30" barrel gun the end of the barrells are only approx 3" above your head!!. With the weight of the gun (approx 7lb) it feels as if your trousers are falling down as there is no additional suuport unlike the Stock Aid which rests on your hip. One of the features we where advised against is fitted to this gun support...Soft cloth liner which is likely to hold water and dirt which could scratch your gun stock, hence why we left the Stock Aid finished in high quality english leather. With this gun support fitted as it should, when you have a standard shooting jacket on the support is hidden underneath thus making putting the gun in rather fidley and requiring both hands, it may be ok if you are wearing just a fleece, but hey thats not really the right clothing on a driven day and not very good in winter weather.
